Rescue and safe placement
We are building the foster capacity and community support needed to help dogs experiencing abandonment, neglect, or urgent shelter risk. Each intake must be matched with a safe placement and the resources needed to provide responsible care.
Foster care and family support
Foster families provide daily meals, a safe home, routine, patience, and observations about each dog. RSR Legacy coordinates approved veterinary care, guidance, and supplies as arranged. Foster commitments may include puppies, mothers with litters, adult dogs, medical recovery, or short stays.
Health and adoption preparation
Donations help fund veterinary exams, vaccines, spay or neuter procedures, medications, and other care as needed. Daily care and foster observations help us understand each dog’s personality, behavior, and home needs before placement.
Responsible adoption
Prospective adopters begin with an application. We review household needs and discuss the dog’s care and fit before a placement is approved. Adoption fees should be paid only after written approval and confirmation of the amount. Current dog updates and the adoption application are available on our home page.
Community support
We welcome volunteers, foster families, food and supply donations, and community food drives. One-time gifts and monthly supporters help provide food, crates, bedding, transport, and veterinary care. We are growing these activities as resources and volunteers become available.
